New FREE Features







A: Carlist.my is a FREE online car classifieds. Posting a car for sale is completely free on Carlist.my.


A: Posting a car for sale is FREE, however user registration is required for posting an ad on Carlist.my.
Do note that once you post up to 10 cars or used up your monthly submissions, you would need to start subscribing to our premium packages in order to continue to post more cars.
  • Registration is still FREE as RM100 registration fee is waived for a limited time only. To create an account, click on the “Login or Create an Account” on the top right tab.

  • After that click on the "Create an Account" button.

  • Complete the registration form and follow the instructions provided in the account validation email that will be sent to the email provided in your registration form.
    NOTE: Please check your junk folder as well if you do not get the email within an hour after registration.

  • After you have received your account validation email, login with your registered username and password.


  • Click on “Sell a Car” button (found at the top right of Carlist.my website).

  • Complete the form shown by filling in the details of your car. Click on submit and your ad will be listed on the Carlist.my website within the next business day.




A: First and foremost, registration is FREE. And once you are a registered user, you will be able to post cars for sale and participate in our online forum.


A: Upon submitting your registration form, an email will be sent to the email which you provided on your registration form. Click on the link provided in the email to activate your account.

*Instructions are also available in the email.


A: Removal of car advertisements can be done via the Member’s Profile page.
  • Click on the "Profile" link on the top right tab after you have logged in to Carlist.my.

  • It will bring you to your Profile page. Towards the bottom of the page is where you car advertisements are found.
  • If you have more than one car advertised on Carlist.my, search for the car that you want to be removed and then click on the “Delete” button located at the bottom right corner.


  • A confirmation window will pop up and if you are certain you want it removed, click on the “Yes button to complete the ad removal.




A: No. Carlist.my is strictly a car classified. Although you cannot complete a car-buying transaction online, you can begin the process here. Each individual car listing includes all the necessary information such as the car details and description as well the contact information of the seller who will naturally assist you in your purchase.


A: Do not worry; you can easily reset your password by taking the following steps:
  • Open the login panel by clicking the "Login or Create an Account" link on the top right tab

  • Click on the “Forgot Your Password?” link beside the login button.

  • Key in the same email addressed used to register your Carlist.my account.
  • Click on the "Reset" button. Your password will be reset and an email will be sent to you with a new randomly generated password. Promptly login and change the generated password to a new one of your choice.

A: This feature allows you (buyer) to request for cars that you've been looking for if you haven’t found one that meets your criteria from our listings. Sellers now have an extra avenue to serve you by knowing exactly what you want via your requests. This helps to increase their stock turnaround too. It's a win-win! With this feature, you can decrease your lead time for getting the car you want – by posting up a car request, you can now get the sellers to contact you!




A: If you've tried looking for a particular car and it's not YET within our listings, then this is the feature that'll help us serve you better. By setting your criteria (e.g. make/model/year/price), we'll notify you via email when listings match your criteria. You can even set multiple notifications and we'll aggregate them all into one email before sending it out to you. This greatly increases your chances of finding the car that meets your criteria.




A: This feature allows you to bookmark any car listing so you can revisit it in future sessions. Just click on 'Save this Car' at the top of the car details page and we'll store it in your Saved Cars page for you to revisit. When you no longer want it in your list, just click on 'delete'. With over 26,000 listings and counting, we're pretty certain you'll appreciate this feature.




A: When faced with so many options, don't you ever wished you could do a side-by-side view comparison of the cars that interest you? Well, now with the car comparison feature, you can! All you need to do is check the 'compare' checkbox in the search results page for cars that you want to make comparisons against and click on 'compare cars'. We're allowing you to compare up to 10 cars at any one time! In the car comparison page, the cars and their details are listed side-by-side. Clicking on the car's image will bring you to the individual car’s details. We have also integrated the 'save a car' feature here to help make it easier for you to save cars directly in your current view. At Carlist.my, we like making things easy for everybody.
