Oh No! Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario Burns To The Ground In Dubai

Nooo! This is a devastating sight for any car fan, more so for Lamborghini fans as reports from Dubai indicate that a Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce has gone up in flames, possibly making it one of the first on Earth succumb to a fiery death.

[UPDATE] Though it appears to be an Aventador SV as many reports claim, the supercar may indeed be a Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50th Anniversario. In fact, both cars share almost the same identical front spoiler with the chief difference being the spoiler lip, which is painted on the SV but is black on the Anniversario.

The incident apparently took place on a stretch of road near the Dubai Marina with a Russian personality posting on her Instagram user account victoria.vikki a photo of the supercar with smoke billowing from the rear of the car. Apparently, she had just picked up the car as a rental merely 30 minutes earlier and escaped unharmed.

Making its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March, the Aventador SV features a 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 engine with 740hp and 690Nm of torque on tap. On top of that, the Lamborghini will only be created in limited numbers with only 600 examples worldwide.
