The first-ever Mercedes-AMG G63 was produced in 2002 in only five units and was the first-ever G-Class to be fitted with a V12 engine. The Mercedes-AMG G63 2002 was able to produce a maximum output of 437 hp and propel from 0-100km/h in 6.5 seconds. 

Mercedes-AMG G63 2012

The Mercedes-AMG G63 2012 was equipped with a 5.5 litre biturbo V8 engine which resulted in better fuel consumption and lower emissions. Mercedes also gave the AMG G63 a more AMG-like appearance, such as a single horizontal fin with twin chrome edges in the middle of the radiator grille, light-alloy wheel design, enlarged airflow inlets, vertical chrome strips and rear view mirrors for the exterior.
