Toyota Prius C 2012

The Toyota Prius C hybrid  which was launched in Malaysia in 2012 and is powered by Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive which combines a 1.5 litre petrol engine and an electric motor. The Toyota Prius C engine is a 1.5 litre 1NZ-FXE engine which produces a maximum output of 73 PS and a maximum torque of 111 Nm. Meanwhile, the electric motor produces a maximum output of 61 PS and a maximum torque of 169 Nm. The Prius C Hybrid comes in three modes - Normal, ECO and EV and the Toyota Prius C fuel consumption has a rating of 3.7 litres per 100 kilometre. The Toyota Prius C interior is fitted with a 3.5-inch multi-information display while the 6.1-inch touchscreen is optional. Some safety features in the Toyota Prius C include seven airbags, traction control, vehicle stability control, ABS, EBD, brake assist, automatic climate control, cruise control and keyless entry with push start button. The Toyota Prius C was available in five colours - Pearl White, Silver, Black, Citrus Orange and Red. 

Toyota Prius C Facelift 2015

The first version of the Toyota Prius C facelift was launched in 2015. The engine specifications are the same as the one found in the Toyota Prius C hybrid. Some enhancements in the Toyota Prius C facelift edition include single-projector LED headlamps, a redesigned bumper, LED tail lamps and a shark-fin antenna. The only significant enhancement in the 2015 Prius C facelift interior is that the side air-conditioning vents use directional rings rather than rotary flaps. 

Toyota Prius C Facelift 2017

The Toyota Prius C received its second facelift in 2017 which also included several minor enhancements. The second Prius C facelift edition sees redesigned headlamps and styling revisions to the front bumper and rear lamps. The rear bumper has also included reflectors, giving the facelifted Prius C a sharper look. The Toyota Prius C facelift interior has also been upgraded with a TFT multi-information display and improved materials and trim. The second facelift adds a new variant, Crossover, in Japan which was made to cater to active lifestyle users with the addition of fender arch moldings and roof rails. 

Toyota Prius C TRD Sportivo

The Toyota Prius C TRD Sportivo was released for sale in 2013 which features an aero kit package to give the 2013 Toyota Prius C a sportier look. No enhancements were made to the powertrain and drivetrain but some upgrades in the Hybrid TRD Sportivo include a front bumper spoiler with integrated daytime running lights, a black bumper and side skirting. The Prius C TRD Sportivo interior has an addition of floor mats with blue stitching and an upgraded audio system with Bluetooth connectivity. The Toyota Prius C TRD Sportivo comes in four colours - Lime White Pearl, Black Mica, Silver Metallic and Super Red V.
