Fuel Price Update: 17 - 23 August - Increase For Petrol, Reduction For Diesel

Fuel prices for the upcoming week (17 - 23 August) have just been announced by the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives, and Consumerism (KPDNKK). Petrol prices for both RON 95 and RON 97 grades continue the upward trend by rising for the fourth successive week, but diesel sees a 2 sen per litre decrease.

Prices for all three major fuel types have been on an upward trend for much of the last two months. The last decrease of fuel prices happened on the week of 28 June to 5 July. Since then, the only exception to successive weeks of increases was the week of 20 to 26 July, when prices were maintained from the preceding week.

New prices (per litre) for the upcoming week are listed below:

• RON95 - RM2.15 (up 3 sen from RM2.12)
• RON97 - RM2.43 (up 4 sen from RM2.39)
• Diesel - RM2.04 (down 2 sen from RM2.06)
