Jakarta 2019: All-New Honda Accord Launched In Indonesia – From RM 205k

The all-new 10th generation Honda Accord has made its Indonesian debut at today's opening of the 2019 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. Like many D-segment cars, prices have gone up slightly but if you were to convert the Indonesian selling price to Malaysian Ringgit, it will cross the RM200,000 mark - but this is due to the depreciation of our Ringgit.

The all-new Accord now sells in Indonesia for 698 million Indonesian Rupiah, which is just 5 percent higher than the previous model but in Ringgit terms, 698 million Rupiah now equates to a shocking RM205,600.

However unlike the previous generation Accord, there is no more entry variant on offer. Instead, the model is now offered only as one high specification variant, powered by a 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo engine.

The transverse turbocharged direct injected four-cylinder engine produces 190 PS/260 Nm. The engine is shared with the CR-V and Civic but it has been tuned to produced 20 Nm more torque than the CR-V, and 17 PS/40 Nm more than the Civic.

Gone is the previous model's 5-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Instead, this all-new model uses a CVT-type automatic (with paddle shifters) to drive the front wheels.

The car comes equipped with LED headlamps and tail lamps and like many recent Honda models, comes with a full suite of Honda Sensing advanced driving aids, including: Collision Mitigation Brake System (CMBS) integrated with Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM) integrated with Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) integrated with Low Speed Follow (LSF), and Auto-High Beam.
