Jakarta 2019: Honda Debuts BR-V Facelift

Initially spotted yesterday by OtoDriver, Honda Indonesia has officially introduced the facelifted BR-V.

Visually, the facelifted Honda BR-V receives a new blacked-out front grille with a lone chrome strip that breaks the monotony. Below the front grille is a new bumper design with redesigned fog light surrounds on each side. The Indonesian-spec facelifted BR-V now receives LED daytime running lights, which was first made available on the Malaysian-spec car.

Towards the side of the updated model, Honda has given the sides a new, thicker side trim garnish. In addition to that, the facelifted Honda BR-V also receives a set of redesigned 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear bumper and rear skirt have also been revamped.

Moving into the cabin of the facelifted BR-V, the biggest highlight is the inclusion of a new 8.0-inch touchscreen head unit, tweeters, and a new dashboard trim design. The Indonesian-spec Honda BR-V has also been fitted with a new single-zone automatic air-conditioning system.

Safety remains the same as before – 2 airbags up front, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), ABS and EBD, ISOFIX anchor points, and Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure and G-force Control (G-CON) safety features.

Powertrain options have also been carried over, with a sole 1.5-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC mill pushing out 120 PS and 145 Nm to the front wheels via a CVT-type automatic or a 6-speed manual.
