Toyota Sienta Updated For 2018, Drops G Variant

In addition to today's intoduction of the Toyota Hilux L-Edition, UMW Toyota Motor has also announced that the Sienta will receive some updates for 2018.

For starters, the Toyota Sienta lineup will be trimmed to just one variant, which is the Sienta 1.5V. The 1.5G has been dropped.

The updates include a new 6.9-inch DVD-AVX infotainment system, featuring Bluetooth connectivity, SD card support, and a reverse camera. Apart from the new infotainment system, the Sienta has also been upgraded to feature a USB charging port in the second row plus a trunk mat in the rear cargo area.

Customers can also opt for the 7-inch DVD-AVN infotainment system with GPS navigation. Also optional is the Panoramic View Monitor, giving drivers a bird’s eye view around the vehicle.

Despite these enhancements, the Toyota Sienta 1.5V’s price remains unchanged at RM97,000, on the road exclusive of insurance.

As for the powertrain, the Toyota Sienta continues to be powered by a 1.5-litre Dual VVTi petrol engine mated to a CVT-type automatic.
