My experience being the first batch 2013 Mazda6 2.0 Skyactiv owner proved to be a rewarding decision. Although it is not exactly powerful with only 2.0L powertrain, the overall mix of power, handling, space for occupants and luggage and to have all that in a D-segment without looking like a elderly pensioner is a compelling choice. The routine service cost is very affordable, however, major maintenance will require a financial planning, like-wise I need to factor-in the battery cost which usually lasted only a year. Early cars like mine do have some flaw like noisy front lower arm bushing and wind noise at the rear door. My only complain is that Mazda update the car too frequently with two facelift, and the first facelift give an entirely new interior. The duration of free service and mileage also increased from 3 years/60,000 km to 5 years/100,000 km, which benefits the latter owner, much to the despair of early owner. Kurang

Overall it is a good car to own for 2.2D, nice interior & extrior. I would say it has the top & best in class inrerior for Japanese cars. High speed crusing is good especially i like the handling.

Maintainance costs are higher than Honda & Toyota 3. NVH not the best in its segment 4. Selling price is the highest in Japanese cars Kurang

reliable car. maintenance is decent. just gotta get the right mechanic to understand the problem of the car.
