For that price range, Proton Saga VVT is quite good. However, there are some problems/issues. Like there always has some noise coming from the trunk. And the CVT gear box is not running smooth.

Feedback to them about noise coming from the undercarriage n steering when turning. They checked and said it's the absorber problem and will replace a new one within 2 weeks. No news at all after 2 weeks. Called them up and all they said to me was still following up with their HQ for the new absorber. It's been more than a month now and they still telling me the same excuse each time I call them up to check for status. I got tired of waiting and asked my mechanic friend to check. He said nothing wrong with the absorbers. The noise came from the steering rack! Very lousy customer service too. Each time I called them, they promised to check and return my call but they never did...not even once! Kurang

Proton has launched a new Saga model in 2016. This model is quite elegant looking from the exterior and also the interior. But the downside is, the interior feels really cheap and a little bit of crap especially the dashboard and the door panels. This may not a big deal. The car have been utilized till to this year and amazingly there is no major problems or repair that needed to be done aside the service that provided from the manufacturer. The handling of this car is quite awesome. It is capable to driven quite fast around the corners, but it also provide for good comfort for smooth driving. I consider this to be a big issue, which is the Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT). The CVT is good because it provides smooth acceleration without feeling of the jerking since this car does not use normal gears in automatic transmission. But somehow, it responses really slow from the stationary and when with sudden full throttle. The boot space is big enough, the leg room for the rear passenger is good and the ergonomics for the seating position is superb. This car provides a reverse camera which displays in the rear view mirror is quite clear and bright. The rear view mirror has some sort of anti-glare layer which you do not have to adjust the mirror during night driving. Overall, I can say is a fair car for a fair price but this model has to be improvised in the throttle response since it is quite abnormally slow for common cars. Kurang

Easy to maintenance. Spare parts is everywhere! You just name it! Surprisingly cheap! Its still on purposes, move from point A to B.
