After 4-5years parts start to wear wnd tear that will cost you a bomb. Inexperienced, unprofessional service center that will kill you emotionally. Unless they have better reliability and good after sales service, don’t fall for the cheap promotion because those cars are placed under tremendous heat of sunlight that will cause faster wear and tear. Stay away for now. Kurang

External 1. Simple yet mature front end. 2. Well proportioned compact sedan shape, unlike some other sedan with the hatchback with boot shape. 3. Lack of DRL and front lights are just normal

External 1. Simple yet mature front end. 2. Well proportioned compact sedan shape, unlike some other sedan with the hatchback with boot shape. 3. Lack of DRL and front lights are just normal halogen, lack modern touches but cheaper to maintain. 4. Pretty boring rim design. Interior 1. Plastic all round the cabin but everyday touch point is leather treated - steering, gear knob and mechanical hand brake lever. 2. Classic vw interior, simple but matured. 3. Ergonomics are excellent. 4. Center console slightly bend towards the driver, which is good. 5. Fabric seats provide good ventilation. Drive 1. Poor throttle response, slow pickup compared to rival such as city and vios. 2. 12 sec 0 to 100 time is totally unacceptable for a compact sedan with 105hp and 150nm. 3. Aisin 6 speed torque converter gearbox is sluggish with tendency to hold on to highest gear, kick down in D takes forever. 4. Ride comfort and NVH is excellent, high speed cruising is stable, provided don't drive as you're in a turbocharged polo. 5. Tuning of the engine is inclined towards comfort cruising rather than sporty driving. Maintenance 1. Normal routine service price around rm 600 to 700 at service centre. 2. Major service can go up to rm2k. 3. Quite pricey for 1.6MPI with conventional 6 speed gearbox. 4. Quite problem free compared to DSG cars. 5. 4 years ownership - replace aircond compressor, replace misaligned disc brake, replace leaking headlight and replace aircond blower relay besides routine maintenance Conclusion 1. A good daily car with the German feel, worth considering but may not be a sensible choice as lacking modern technology such as ESC. Kurang
