Bermaz Motor launched the Mazda3 2022 Ignite Edition in Malaysia in May 2023, a variant based on the top-tier 2.0L Mazda 3 Hatchback 2022 High Plus. Priced at RM164,679, it is approximately RM9,000 more expensive than its base model. The package includes a five-year manufacturer's warranty with complimentary maintenance, covering labor, parts, and lubricants, limited to either five years or a mileage cap of 100,000 km.

Distinguishing features of the Ignite Edition comprise gloss black wing mirror caps, 18-inch black metallic alloy wheels, Burgundy leather seat upholstery, and a 360-degree surround－view camera system. The car is offered in seven exterior colors, including new options like Platinum Quartz.

Enhancements in safety features include the i-Activsense kit with Front Cross Traffic Alert (FCTA) and Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS), while the Driver Attention Alert (DAA) system is refined with Driver Monitoring. Existing safety elements like Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Lane Keep Assist System (LAS), Smart Brake Support (SBS – front and rear AEB), High Beam Control (HBC), and Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) are retained.

Similar to the 2022 CX-30, all Mazda 3 variants, including the sedan, now feature Apple CarPlay- and Android Auto-compatible USB ports on both the center console and under the armrest. Previously, this functionality was exclusive to Apple CarPlay.

The car is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder SkyActiv-G engine, delivering 162 hp and 213 Nm of torque, with power transmitted to the front wheels through a six-speed automatic gearbox. The average fuel consumption is 6.3 liters per 100 km, and the top speed reaches 207 km/h.
 

2023 Mazda 3 (IPM)

Bermaz Motor introduced updates to the Mazda 3 in October 2023, featuring a revised equipment list and a streamlined variant lineup. The C-segment model, available in sedan and hatchback configurations, is fully imported from Japan.

Engine

The 1.5L engine option has been removed from the lineup. This engine is paired with a Skyactiv-Drive six-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode.

Mazda 3 2019

The fourth generation Mazda 3 was launched in Malaysia in 2019 in three variants - 1.5L, 2.0L High and 2.0 High +. The Mazda 3 sedan and Mazda 3 hatchback differ in its exterior design, with the former being fitted with pin-style grille with chrome surrounds and the latter with honeycomb design with black trim.The base variant comes in both sedan and hatchback form and is equipped with automatic LED projector headlamps with bulb daytime running lights, LED tail lights and 16-inch alloy wheels.
