The 2015 Audi Q3 is a compact crossover that rides on the PQ35 platform, which underpins cars like the previous generation Volkswagen Golf and Audi A3. Available in two variants, this German model starts at RM218, 900 and competes with the likes of Volkswagen Tiguan, BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class, MINI Countryman and Jeep Compass.
There are two turbocharged inline four cylinder engines to choose from – a 1.4-litre and a 2.0-litre. The former outputs 150hp and 250Nm of torque, while the latter is good for 180hp and 320NM of torque. The entry-level 1.4-litre mill is mated to a six-speed S-tronic automatic transmission, while the range topper utilises a seven-speed S-tronic auto. The base Q3 is a front wheel drive, while the more expensive variant sends power to all four wheels. The 2015 Audi Q3 1.4-litre and 2.0-litre are claimed to return a fuel economy figure of 6.0- and 6.5-litres per 100km respectively.
