The 2017 Honda Accord is sold here in two different engine sizes - a 2.0-litre and a 2.4-litre. Recently upgraded with Honda Sensing, the Accord is now priced at RM149,350 for the 2.0 VTi-L and RM169,800 for the 2.4 VTi-L
The 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine delivers 155ps at 6,500rpm and 190Nm of torque at 4,300rpm, while the range-topping 2.4-litre outputs 175ps at 6200rpm and 225Nm of torque at 4000rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a five-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The 2017 Accord gets a suite of aesthetic updates over the current-generation model first introduced in 2013. A restyled front apron is married to the revamped LED front headlights - bringing it closer in line with Honda's latest design direction, first seen with the Honda Civic. The same treatment follows round the back with restyled taillights and rear bumper. Both the 2.0-litre models get 17-inch wheels while the 2.4-litre receives 18-inch alloys.
The 2017 Honda Accord cabin is equipped with convenience features such as tilt and telescopic steering wheel, folding rear seats, leather seats (fabric on the base model), steering wheel mounted audio and i-MID switches, Start-Stop button, a seven-inch TFT display, USB and AUX ports, six-speaker sound system, rear air-conditioning, Active Noise Control and Active Sound Control.
The 2017 Accord 2.4 VTi-L variant adds equipment such as auto levelling LED headlights, paddle shifters, an auto-dim rear view mirror, driver and passenger electric seats and a premium sound system.
In terms of safety, all 2017 Honda Accord variants come equipped with dual front (SRS), side and curtain airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), hill-start assist, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist and rear and front proximity sensors. The Honda LaneWatch Camera (LWC) and rear multi-angle camera are fitted in the 2.0 and 2.4 VTi-L variants. Active Cornering Lights and the Hydrophilic Door Mirrors are reserved for the 2.4-litre VTi-L variant only.
