The Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid is a the brand's first ever hybrid model to be launched in Malaysia. Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors offers the C-segment model in two variants - 1.6 HEV and 1.6 HEV Plus priced at RM100,328 and RM114,008 respectively.
The 2017 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid is powered by the carmaker's 105hp/147Nm 1.6-litre Kappa GDi mill and a 44hp electric motor, which makes it a full hybrid like the Toyota Prius. Combined system output is rated at 141hp and 265Nm of torque, that is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Thanks to the powertrain package, claimed fuel consumption figure stands at 25.6 km/litre.
