The seven-seater 2017 Sorento is the largest SUV you can buy Naza Kia Malaysia, the official distributors of Kia vehicles in Malaysia. It is offered in three variants, with prices starting at RM155,888 for the base 2.2 LS diesel and rivals large SUVs like the Hyundai Santa Fe.
There are two engine options offered for the Malaysian-spec Sorento. Powering the entry level diesel variant is a 2.2-litre R CRDi turbocharged four-cylinder mill that pumps out 200hp and 441Nm of torque, while the petrol variants get Kia's familiar naturally-aspirated 2.4-litre Theta II unit that outputs 172hp at 6,000rpm and 224Nm of torque at 4,000rpm.
All variants get a six-speed conventional automatic transmission as standard and power is transferred to all four corners via the carmaker's new Dynamax all-wheel-drive system.
