This is Mercedes-Benz's answer to the BMW M3 and M4 - the 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63. Its sold here in sedan and coupe forms, in top of the range 'S' trim which boasts more power and a few other performance enhancing bits compared to the 'regular' C63. Priced from RM698,888, both the C63 models can also be spec-ed with the limited run Edition 1 trim that adds some body stripes, different wheels and sportier interior trim pieces.
The C63 family features a new 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 mill that pumps out 510hp, sustained from 5,500rpm to 6,250rpm, while the torque is rated at 700Nm and is available from a low 1,750rpm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a multi-clutch semi-automatic seven-speed AMG Speedshift MCT transmission with Dynamic Select function. The sedan is able to complete the 0-100km/h sprint in a quick 4.0 seconds, while the coupe does it a tenth quicker. Top speed on the other hand is capped electronically at 250km/h.
