Renault will be officiating the all-new 2018 Megane RS at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. However, patent images of the new hot hatch from Renault have surfaced, giving us a good look at the new model.
These images were first published by the World Intellectual Property Organization, showcasing the Megane RS in full. Up front, the aggressive front end incorporates a redesigned front bumper with larger air intakes. The sides are accentuated by larger alloy wheels and side air vents. Renault's sporty touches continue to the rear end of the Megane RS, as the new model gets a large rear diffuser surrounding a central muffler. Completing the rear end are air vents at each corner of the rear bumper.
Under the hood, we reckon Renault could be offering the Megane RS with its 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that sends drive to the front wheels via a six-speed manual, or for the first time ever, Renault's seven-speed EDC dual-clutch transmission.
