Audi Malaysia To Launch At Least Four Models in 2017 - Q2, New A5, R8 V10,Facelifted A3, S and RS Models too

Audi Malaysia today announced that it will be launching at least four new models next year. Besides standard models, the brand also stated its intention to bring in more performance based R and RS models in 2017.

Speaking at the Malaysian launch of the B9 A4 earlier today, Rudi Venter, the Director of Marketing for Audi Malaysia said that the models which we can expect here include the new R8 5.2 V10, the Q2 crossover, the new A5, as well as the facelifted A3.

As for the S and RS models, no specific details were given but looking at the global scene, newly launched models like the TT RS and the S5, as well as the S4, which is the performance oriented version of the A4 which made its Malaysian debut today, are most likely to be included in the product portfolio in 2017.

With the introduction of the aforementioned models, Audi Malaysia will have a wider range of vehicles and more choices for potential customers, through which the brand aims to further strength its presence and position in the Malaysian market.

Another big news which came from the brand from Ingolstadt today is that it is looking at establishing CKD operations in Malaysia by the end of 2019.

It is said that Audi is looking at assembling four models locally at its parent company; Volkswagen Group Malaysia’s plant in Pekan Pahang.

That said, we can expect the next couple of years to be very busy for Audi Malaysia, and if all of the above materialize, the brand could finally catch up with the other two German brands and probably give them a good run for their money as well.
