Demand for the Ford Ranger continues to rise, as sales of the segment-defining pickup truck increased 7.5% from last year to 1,556 vehicles.
The strong demand for the Ranger also helped to increase its market share, now standing at 15.4%, a 1.1% gain from the same quarter last year.
At the moment, Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), the official importer and distributor of Ford vehicles in Malaysia currently offer no less than 10 variants of the Ranger, including the Ranger Standard, XL, XLT, FX4, and Wildtrak.
“We are delighted with the growing demand of expanded Ranger line-up and we’re confident that Ford Ranger will continue to drive our momentum in Malaysia. We also remain committed to continuously enhance our customer and ownership experience through the ongoing expansion and upgrades of our dealer network,” said Syed Ahmad Muzri Bin Syed Faiz, Managing Director, Sime Darby Auto Connexion.
SDAC also teased the extreme Ranger Raptor, which is expected to be added to the local Ranger line-up in due time.
