Auto News

DS, Citroen’s more premium sub brand, has a new addition called the DS 4 Crossback that will be sold alongside the new DS 4. The new body style accompanies the new high-rider variant, and so too does the new styling cues and engines.

This twofold approach to the DS 4 will help Citroen reach new customers in the premium compact vehicle segment, with crossover sales surging, and according to the French automaker’s estimations, comprises of 30% of the market.

The new front end houses a new grille design as well as a new DS LED Vision headlights. Along the sides we have black wheel arches to match the black alloy wheel and new bumper trims. The DS 4 Crossback also has roof rails and an additional 30mm in ride height over the standard car.

Both the DS 4 and DS 4 Crossback will receive an optional two-tone paint option (roof, rear spoiler, door mirrors), with five accent color options and nine for body color.  Citroen says the luxurious but customizable interior takes eight hours for an upholsterer to hand sew the full grain Nappa and semi-aniline leather around the seats as well as the concave and convex lines of the dashboard.

A new 7-inch LCD touchscreen display takes input for vehicle functions such as entertainment and navigation, leaving need for fewer buttons and enabling a cleaner overall dashboard design. Support for Apple CarPlay is also on offer. Other features include blind spot monitoring, keyless entry, keyless start and a reversing camera.

The refreshed DS 4 comes with some new engine offerings too which includes three petrol and three diesel units to choose from with an output range of 120PS to 210PS. The most powerful THP 210 S&S option also can be fitted with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The DS 4 Crossback will launch with two engine options: a 120PS diesel and 130PS petrol.
