Estimated Pricing of All-New Hilux Revealed – RM93k to RM125k for 2.4L variants, RM135k for 2.8G

UMW Toyota has release the estimated pricing of the all-new Hilux with prices starting at RM93,000 for the Single Cab 2.4 MT, to RM135,000 for the range-topping Double Cab 2.8G AT variant. 

The Hilux will be offered here in six variants, as follows:

• Single Cab 2.4 MT 4x4 – RM93,000
• Double Cab 2.4 MT 4x2 – RM95,000
• Double Cab 2.4 STD MT 4x4 – RM105,000
• Double Cab 2.4G MT 4x4 – RM115,000
• Double Cab 2.4G AT 4x4 – RM125,000
• Double Cab 2.8G MT 4x4 – RM135,000

All variants will be using Toyota’s new diesel engine range, which comprises of a 2.4L 2GD-FTV and 2.8L 1GD-FTV. The 2.4L variant produces 150hp at 3,400rpm and 400Nm of torque between 1,600 and 2,000rpm. As for the 2.8L variant, it has a power output of 177hp at 3,400rpm, and 450Nm from 1,600 to 2,400rpm.

Based on what we can gleam from the price list, we can confirm the following details for the base model Single Cab 2.4 MT 4x4:

• Available in non-metallic Solid White only
• Automatic on/off Halogen headlights with blub DRL
• Bed liner and window tint are optional
• 2-DIN head unit with CD player, MP3, AUX jack, and USB connectivity
• Urethane steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustability
• Manually adjustable wing mirrors
• Black PVC upholstery
• Electronic 4WD transfer switch with Rear differential lock
• 3 Airbags
• ABS with EBD
• 16-inch steel rims
• Immobiliser alarm system

Moving up the variant list the Double Cab 2.4 STD MT 4x4 adds:

• Metallic colours are available
• Bed liner comes as standard
• Black Fabric upholstery
• 17-inch steel rims

The Double Cab 2.4 MT 4x2 stands as the only variant in the list that doesn’t have a 4WD drivetrain, which means that it doesn’t have any electronic 4WD transfer switch or rear differential lock. However this variant comes with driver side power windows and immobiliser with cabin sensor, double door lock, and speed auto door lock, as compared with the Single Cab and Double Cab 2.4 STD variants.

As for the Double Cab 2.4G MT and AT 4x4 the additional features are as follows:

• Front fog lamps
• Toyota Premium Security tint as standard (for AT only)
• Multi Information Display (MID) integrated into the instrument cluster
• Keyless entry and ignition
• 2-DIN head unit DVD Player with 6.1-inch Touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity, with reverse camera
• Leather wrapped steering with audio, MID, and Bluetooth controls
• Power adjustable and retractable Chrome wing mirrors
• Drive Mode switch
• Black combination leather upholstery (for AT only)
• 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat (for AT only)
• All round power windows with auto up/down and jam protection feature
• Active Traction Control (for AT only)
• Vehicle Stability control (for AT only)
• Hill start assist (for AT only)
• Reverse sensor
• 17-inch alloy rims

Sitting atop the range, the Double Cab 2.8G AT 4x4 sports all the bells and whistles of the Hilux range, including:

• LED projector headlights with LED daytime running lights
• Optitron instrument cluster with illumination control
• 4.2-inch Colour TFT MID
• 7 Airbags
• 18-inch alloy rims

Though the estimated pricing has been revealed, the All New Hilux is still a few months away, and is expected to make its official debut in Malaysia in the third quarter of this year.
