Hans August 17, 2015 12:14

The locally-assembled Great Wall Haval M4 scored three stars at a test by ASEAN NCAP.

The M4 is the first Chinese brand model to be tested by ASEAN NCAP. The M4 scored only 9.64 points out of a maximum of 16 in Adult Occupant Protection, making it a three-star car.

One the upside, the M4 scored rather well in child occupant protection, scoring 79 percent in Child Occupant Protection.

The Great Wall M4 is produced by Go Auto Manufacturing in Gurun, Kedah, and has a starting price of RM49,739.

The M4 comes with dual front airbags as standard but ABS is only available in the automatic transmission (clutchless automated manual) model.
