Honda Malaysia On Course To Hit 100,000-unit Target For 2017

Honda Malaysia is on course to reach its 2017 target of 100,000 units. Honda Malaysia Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Toichi Ishiyama said the company has achieved overall sales of more than 98,200 units for the period of January to November 2017. In fact, this figure of 11-months sales has already surpassed their 2016 total sales which was just below 92,000 units.

This is an increase of 22% or 17,800 units versus the same 11-month period last year. The large increase in sales is contributed by the newly-launch Honda BR-V, all-new Honda CR-V as well as the refreshed line-up of Honda City and Honda Jazz plus the updated Honda Accord with Sensing.

Mr. Ishiyama shared the news during Honda Malaysia’s official opening of its biggest Honda 3S Centre in East Malaysia. The opening of this Honda 3S Centre in Miri, Sarawak operated by SYK RW Motor Sdn. Bhd. adds to the tally of seven Honda dealerships in the state.

“We would also like to reach more customers from different areas especially those residing in satellite towns to enable them to experience the Joy of Buying.” added Mr. Ishiyama.

SYK RW Motor Sdn. Bhd. has invested RM7 million into the development of 48,000 square feet facility in Jalan Cahaya, Miri. Its professional technicians and latest equipment are capable of handling up to 40 cars per day.

At the workshop section, a total 12 service bays consists of 7 fast service, 2 bays each for general repairs and tyre service and an air conditioning service bay.  A comfortable Customer Lounge greets owners and customers, together with an Executive Lounge, Kid’s Corner, Surau as well as a variety of food and beverages.     

With the opening of SYK RW Motor’s Honda 3S, together with earlier new 3S openings in East Coast, Central and Southern regions, Honda Malaysia now has 91 service centres nationwide.
