Following the launch of the Jaguar F-Pace a little over a year ago, Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia is going to introduce a new powertrain for the F-Pace model line early next year. Previously, the F-Pace was only available with a 3.0-litre supercharged V6, but it will soon be joined by an Ingenium 2.0-litre turbo straight-4. It's mated to a compact ZF 8-speed, with a pendulum damper in the torque converter that helps to reduce low frequency vibrations.
The powertrain produces a solid 250 PS and 365 Nm of torque from just 1,200 rpm. The Ingenium line of engines are Jaguar's latest and greatest, feature low friction coatings and twin scroll turbos for more power, more response, and better efficiency. The F-Pace is Jaguar's fastest selling model of all time, winning awards the world over. There's no indication of pricing as of yet, although bookings for the new car have now been opened.
