Kuching Service Advisor Tops Nissan Regional Competency Contest

Great news for team Malaysia! After beating his fellow Malaysians in the national-level Nissan Service Advisor Excellence Competency (NISAC) held in April, Mr Ernest Chong Ruichen emerged as champion in the NISAC Award Asia Regional Contest which was recently held in Thailand.

Being the youngest contestant was clearly a non-issue for Chong, who is based at the Nissan Kuching 3S Centre, as he outperformed more experienced contestants from Hong Kong, Singapore, Republic of Korea, the Philippines, Brunei, and Sri Lanka. 

Chong was also commended for his extraordinary soft skills, Nissan Sales and Service Way (NSSW) handling standards, and customer-centric mindset. 

Mr Michael Yao Tsu-Wei, Head of After-Sales, Tan Chong Ekspres Auto Servis Sdn Bhd (TCEAS) said, “We are extremely proud of Ernest Chong’s achievement as the champion of NISAC. Being the youngest achiever, he will be a role model in setting quality service standards to many other Nissan service advisors here in Malaysia,”

“We will continue to improve the skills and capabilities of our service specialists, and consistently provide our customers with the highest after-sales and service support,” Yao added.

The NISAC Award Asia Regional Contest, organized by Nissan Motor Co Ltd (NML), is aimed to recognize and award the best-skilled service advisors. The contest evaluates methods in welcoming customers, seriousness in meeting customer's needs and wants, transparency for the customer's peace of mind, and sincere explanation for customer's thorough understanding.  

Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd, the main distributor of Nissan vehicles in Malaysia, would also like to emphasize again the importance of replacement the defective Takata airbag inflators on affected vehicles.

Selected service centres have extended its operating hours. All labour and replacement parts for this recall campaign will be at no cost to owners.
