Mazda’s Coming Diesel-Powered Range: CX-5 RM166k, Mazda6 RM206k

NEWS BUYER'S GUIDE

As reported by Carlist.my late last year, Mazda is expected to launch at least four diesel-powered models in 2016 – the Mazda 2, Mazda 6, CX-3 and CX-5.

We have just been informed by reliable sources that all four models will be launched very soon, within this quarter, and that the CX-5 and Mazda 6 will have an estimated price of RM166k and RM206k respectively.

No information on prices for the diesel-powered Mazda 2 and CX-3 models yet.

Both the CX-5 and 6 will be powered a 2.2-litre SkyActiv-D diesel engine, while the 2 and CX-3 are powered by a 1.5-litre SkyActiv-D diesel engine.

The CX-5 diesel will be locally assembled at Mazda Malaysia’s assembly facilities in Kulim, Kedah, while the rest of the diesel range will be imported (Japan for 6 and CX-3, Thailand for the 2).

More details will be announced when we get closer to the launch date.
