McLaren Lets Its New Sports Series Play In The Snow

McLaren made its presence felt at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show with the introduction of both the 675LT and track-only P1 GTR. They aren’t resting anytime soon because this new teaser video gives us a glimpse of the new McLaren Sports Series, camouflaged and going very sideways in the snow.

The “entry-level” model will enter the McLaren range below the current 650S and has been teased on several occasions beginning from three months ago.

Based on the video, we manage to see the car’s tail lights that is inspired by its larger P1 brother. Power is expected to come a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 with an output said to be around 500 hp. Did we mention the noise it makes?

According to the team over at Jalopnik, a McLaren official has said that there would be “more than two” bodystyles, which means a coupe, roadster and a third yet-to-be-known variant.

Touted as a Porsche 911 Turbo competitor, the new McLaren could also faceoff with the Mercedes-AMG GT S as well.

Unfortunately, the new model codenamed P13 did not make an appearance at Geneva this year. Instead, the McLaren Sports Series model will make its debut at next month’s New York Auto Show.
