Mercedes-Benz Expands Dream Cars Collection In Thailand

Mercedes-Benz Thailand launched four exciting models earlier this week, which will be part of the brand’s Dream Cars collection.

The four models were:

• SLC 300 AMG Dynamic
• Mercedes-AMG SLC 43
• SL 400
• S 500 Cabriolet

Unlike the Malaysian Mercedes-Benz Dream Cars collection where most models are coupes, the models launched in Thailand were all roadsters.

Out of the four models launched, the smallest is of course, the SLC 300 AMG Dynamic. Previously known as the SLK, the SLC is now offered with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine which produces 245hp. Offered in AMG Dynamic specs, the SLC is priced at 3.99 million baht.

And then, we have the wilder version of the SLC – the Mercedes-AMG SLC 43. This version, which is a pretty extreme version of the SLC, is powered by a 3.0-litre twin- turbo V6 engine which kicks out a massive 367hp.

Next, we have the SL. Launched in the form of the SL 400, the roadster is powered by the same 3.0 V6 Twin Turbo engine as the SLC 43 AMG. Similar to the SLC, the SL also comes with a foldable hard-top.

Last but not least, we have the ‘daddy’ of all Mercedes-Benz roadsters – the S 500 Cabriolet. While the other models mentioned earlier are mostly two-seaters and come with a retractable hard-top, the S 500 Cabrio is a four seater which features the classic soft top. Powered by a 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, the car is capable of producing 455hp.

With the introduction of these four models, Mercedes-Benz said that it aims to further reaffirm its position as the frontrunner in the premium car segment in Thailand.

In case you’re wondering, the Malaysian Mercedes-Benz Dream Car collection comprises the AMG GT, C 63 AMG, S 63 AMG Coupe, CLS 400, E Class Coupe, C Class Coupe, as well as the Maybach S 500.
