Mini EV X2 is a scam?

You know how they say if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Well this may have been one of those cases. Over the weekend we posted an article on the Mini EV X2 city car coming to Malaysia for ONLY RM13,800. Since then PDRM through its Cyber Crime Alert Facebook page has warned fellow Malaysians that this might be a scam.

PDRM has further advised not to make any payments through the miniev.online website. The payment tab on the website currently lists the company name followed by a CIMB bank account number. There's also a live chat feature for you to provide proof of payment. We're sure for many of you this already raises red flags. ❌

Just when we were getting quite excited about an electric city car dengan harga mesra rakyat...oh well, better safe than sorry. This evolving story could yet provide us with another plot twist if all the relevant approvals are gotten from the Malaysian authorities and its sale becomes legit.

For now though, keep your money safely under your pillows.
