Motor Image Subaru and Motul Enter Partnership For Specialised Lubricants

Motor Image – the sole distributor of Subaru vehicles across nine territories in Asia – has announced a joint partnership with French lubricant specialist Motul to develop and supply a line of exclusive lubricant products for Subaru vehicles in the region.

The partnership covers eight markets - Cambodia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam – whereby Motul will supply the specially developed and formulated oils for Motor Image.

These oils – developed in Japan – will be used in all of Motor Image’s service centres allowing customers to use premium quality, fully-synthetic lubricants at competitive prices.

The first of these lubricant products – dubbed Subaru Engine Oils by Motul – are offered in 0W-20 and the 5W-30 grades and will be available starting January 2019. These 100 percent synthetic oils have been specially researched and developed in Japan.

Both the 0W-20 and 5W-30 oils conform to API SN standards and are designed for naturally-aspirated and turbocharged engines. Other benefits include improved fuel economy, aids emission control system durability, reduced anti-oxidation, and anti premature oil thickening properties caused by thermal stress.

The Subaru Engine Oils by Motul will subsequently be made available in Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam by March 2019.
