In an effort to offer better after-sales services to its customers, Isuzu Malaysia today opened the doors to its new flagship after-sales facility in Padang Jawa, Shah Alam.
Operated in partnership with Automotive Corporation Malaysia (ACM), a subsidiary of DRB-Hicom Bhd, the facility is managed by a team of technical representatives from Isuzu Motors Limited Japan and local technicians who possess Isuzu’s i-Mec certification.
The new facility, which houses the Isuzu Technical Centre where trainee mechanics are developed, will be completely equipped by the third quarter of 2017 with high-capacity hoists capable of raising medium and heavy-duty trucks, calibrated brake testers, exhaust emission measuring devices, as well as tyre alignment and wheel balancing machines that will prepare commercial vehicles for their PUSPAKOM inspections.
Currently the service centre comprises a waiting lounge, two service areas with 16 working bays, a dedicated washing area, as well as a parts warehouse.
The two-acre facility will also have a spectrum of proprietary diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and tune the latest range of Isuzu vehicles.
“With over 10,000 new Isuzu vehicles being registered every year in Malaysia, we hope that this outlet will be able to offer additional support to our dealer network and growing customer base by offering efficient and meticulous after-sales service,” said Kenji Matsuoka, the CEO of Isuzu Malaysia.
The Isuzu Service Center opens from 8:30am to 5:30pm on weekdays and 8:30am to 5:00pm on Saturday.
The facility also houses the 24-hour Isuzu Dr. Mobile breakdown service that is contactable through the Dr. Mobile hotline at 1-800-88-8000.
