New Mitsubishi Triton Athlete Launched, Priced from RM126,990

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) has just launched the new Mitsubishi Triton Athlete, with some exclusive exterior and interior enhancements.

On the outside, a new gloss black grille with honeycomb pattern boldly adorns the front. A lower bumper spoiler with gloss black inserts, matched with new fog lamp garnish, completes the look of the new front styling.

The gloss black treatment continues around the entire vehicle, strategically covering the following items:

  • 17-inch multispoke alloy wheels
  • Over fenders
  • Door handles
  • Side mirror cover
  • Side step bar
  • Rear bumper

To further enhance the dynamic outlook of the Triton Athlete, a new colour coded Sports bar is fitted on the deck, together with rear spoiler at the tip of the tail gate.

Completing the sporty look is a set of special orange and black stripes at the lower proximity of the doors as well as the corners of front and rear bumpers, and the Sports bar.

Highlight of the interior of the Triton Athlete are perforated orange leather combination seats with ‘Athlete’ embroidery on the front seats.

Matching orange stitching are found on steering wheel, shift knob, console armrest and door trim inserts in the predominantly black interior.

The 7-inch infotainment system receives an upgrade, now with Apple CarPlay connectivity.

There are no changes to the powertrain in the Triton Athlete, with the 2.4-litre MIVEC generating 181 PS and 430 Nm of torque.

Rough terrain is effortlessly handled with the Easy Select dial with shift-on-the-fly function to engage four wheel drive.

The Triton Athlete, fully-imported from Thailand, comes only in Black Mica and is priced as affordably as the Triton VGT Adventure X from RM 126,990. It is backed by a five-year/200,000 km warranty, whichever comes first.
