Perodua begins export of Myvi and Alza to Brunei

Perodua has exported 310 units of the Myvi 1.5 SE and Alza 1.5 SE models to Brunei. The vehicles have just arrived at the kingdom and were officially launched at the Brunei Motoring BN – Auto Show 2016.

The two models will be sold in Brunei through GHK Motors Sdn Bhd, Perodua’s distributor in the kingdom. Official pricing of the two models in Brunei have yet to be announced.

According to statistics by the World Bank, Brunei has a population of 417,784 people and in 2015 had a total industry volume of 14,243 vehicles.

Perodua exports to Brunei date back to 1996 with the Kancil. As of 2015, the company has exported a total of 2,300 vehicles there.

Brunei is one of five export destinations for Perodua vehicles, the others being Singapore, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and Fiji. The company also exports the Myvi to Indonesia, where it is badged as the Daihatsu Sirion.
