Come 1 June 2015, the Mambau and Lukut toll plazas on the Seremban – Port Dickson Highway (SPDH) will go fully electronic. With the implementation imminent, PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) is increasing its PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card and SmartTAG promotions.
Highway users will be able to purchase preloaded RM5 PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go cards at a promotional rate of RM5 (card is free) at the Mambau and Lukut toll plazas.
Customer service centres at Seremban and Senawang toll plazas will offer the Touch ‘n Go card as well. Not only that, the public are also able to purchase SmartTAGs there at a promotional rate of RM104.95 (inclusive of 6% GST).
PLUS will be offering a toll rebate of up to 20% to highway users paying toll electronically at the aforementioned toll plazas (refer here). They’ve also stated that SmartTAGs and Touch ‘n Go lanes can accommodate 1,000 and 550 transactions respectively in an hour. Cash lane, on the other hand, can only accommodate 400 transactions per hour.
So, if you’re a frequent user of the SPDH highway, be prepared and take advantage of this promotion before electronic toll payment is implemented in June.
