Porsche Reveals Black Edition For The Boxster And 911 Carrera

Porsche has unveiled a special series of the 911 Carrera and Boxster dubbed the Black Edition. As the name suggests, the cars features a body work and interior finished in, you guessed it, black.

However, the 911 Carrera and Boxster Black Edition models comes standard with the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) navigation module, automatically dimming rear-view mirrors, rain sensor, cruise control and Sport Design steering wheel.

All variants of the 911 Carrera Black Edition including the coupé and convertible versions with rear- or all-wheel drive shares the same 3.4-litre flat-six engine that produces 350hp. The special edition model is fitted with 20-inch 911 Turbo wheels and its LED headlights include Porsche’s Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) as standard. The black interior features heated sports seats for the driver and passenger while a standard Bose Surround Sound System provides the entertainment.

As for the Boxster Black Edition, the mid-mounted 2.7-litre flat-six engine developing 265hp is retained. Distinctive exterior styling changes are the soft top and rollover protection bar, both of which follow the colour concept the name suggests. Also fitted are 20-inch Carrera Classic wheels while the bi-xenon headlights feature the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). Creature comforts include heated seats, two-zone climate control system, and a high-quality Sound Package Plus sound system.
