Prasarana Announces Four Month Road Closure And Traffic Diversion At Jalan Persiaran Puchong Utama 1 (PPU1)

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) has announced that a temporary road closure and traffic diversion will take place at Jalan Persiaran Puchong Utama 1 (PPU1) to facilitate the construction of the Ampang LRT Line Extension project beginning from 29 March 2015 until 26 July 2015.

The road closure and traffic diversion will go on for a four month period, involving several sections of Jalan PPU1, resulting in a temporary diversion at Jalan PPU1 from a two-way road into a one-way road.

Traffic from Persiaran Puchong Perdana and the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) heading towards Jalan Industri PBP1, Jalan Puchong and Puchong Hartamas are still allowed to use Jalan PPU1 to enter the LDP.

Alternative routes will be provided to motorist heading from Jalan Industri PBP1 to Putrajaya via LDP and Persiaran Puchong Perdana. Please refer to the details below with the attached map as reference:

Alternative route to LDP (Putrajaya-bound)

Motorists from Jalan Industri PBP1 and Jalan Puchong heading towards Putrajaya will be guided to travel along Jalan Puchong and onto the LDP, using exit 1118 near Tractors Malaysia to enter the Putrajaya-bound LDP.

Alternative route to Persiaran Puchong Perdana

Motorists will be guided to use the same route towards LDP (Putrajaya-bound) as mentioned above and at the traffic light under the flyover, turn right to enter Persiaran Puchong Perdana.

Prasarana say the road closure is in the interest of motorists’ safety as the work will involve heavy machinery and lifting of building materials. Road barriers will be put in place to divert traffic along with flagmen, advance warning signs, and directional signs to alert motorists of the road closure and diversion.

Motorists are advised to be cautious when travelling in the area and to follow the advance warning signs during the construction period.
