In a running initiative to ensure safer roads in Malaysia, particularly during our numerous festive seasons, this Chinese New Year Proton Holdings Bhd is again working with Petronas, this time to bring its free 30-point safety inspection to more customers via selected Petronas stations.
Teams of Proton technicians will be stationed at seven petrol stations in Selangor, Johor, Kedah, and Pahang between February 4th and 6th from 10am to 7pm, right in the midst of the pre-season traffic rush. So why not make use of this complementary service to make sure Proton is in ship-shape for the festive journey - we all know how arduous they can be.
The 30-point inspection will cover parameters such as vehicle fluid levels, radiator and cooling, windshield wipers, pedal operation, suspension, steering, tyre pressure and tread wear, as well as fuel and brake systems. As a token of appreciation, owners will also receive goodie bags with mandarin oranges, angpow packets, and mineral water.
This festive season vehicle safety check is an extension of Proton’s larger campaign where owners can bring their cars to any authorised Proton service centre for a free safety inspection. In all, Proton hopes to increase public awareness and to educate road users on the importance of vehicle maintenance and its significant role toward safety on the road.
The locations for the free 30-point vehicle inspections this Chinese New Year are as follows:

There's just something about cars. It's a conveyance, it's a liability, it's a tool; but it can also be a source of joy, pride, inspiration and passion. It's much like clothes versus fashion. And like the latter, the pursuit of perfection never ends.
