Shell Kicks off First-Of-Its-Kind "Love My Ride" Festival

500 motorists were given a free oil change and petrol fill-up package that was worth up to RM600, at the Shell “#LoveMyRide” Festival. The festival, which kicked off today and concludes this Sunday (14^th June) at the MARTRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre (MECC) Kuala Lumpur, is said to be the first-of-its-kind for car lovers.

Selected motorists were entitled to receive a complete engine oil change for their cars using Shell Helix Ultra with PurePlus Technology 5W-40 fully synthetic engine oil, as well as up to RM70 worth of Shell V-Power Racing, courtesy of Shell Malaysia Trading. The participants were selected from around 1,000 applications that were received online at www.lovemyride.com.my.  

Shell Malaysia also attempted to set a record for “the most number of cars in a lubricant changing event in 12 hours” with the Malaysia Book of Records. The feat involves 100 student mechanics from Despark College and Shell Helix branded workshops, an estimated 6,000 litres of Shell Helix Ultra, and 15,000 litres of Shell V-Power Racing.

The festival also features several booths where visitors can take a test drive in the latest BMW and Mazda cars, participate in the Shell V-Power F1 Challenge F1 simulator to stand a chance to win a Sony PlayStation 4 console, fashion bazaar, Shell Helix PurePlus Mixology Masterclass, live music performance, and indulge in over 50 of KL's top food trucks and cafes. The Shell “#LoveMyRide” Festival is open to the public from 10am till 10pm.
