However, this colour is missing on locally-assembled Mazda models as Mazda Malaysia’s Kulim paint shop cannot handle the unique paint process required for Soul Red Metallic.In the near future, Mazda Malaysia will be able to introduce Soul Red for its locally-assembled models, as they have invested a total of US$ 20 million into a new paint shop to handle the paint process for Soul Red and the new Soul Red Crystal.At the moment, the paint shop is not capable of coating a vehicle in the four coats required for the deep gloss of Soul Red. Other colours require only two coats of paint.Soul Red is currently Mazda’s hero colour, available on a number of their models. Soul Red Crystal is the evolution of Soul Red, which made its debut on the new generation Mazda CX-5.
