Sporty Limited Edition Isuzu D-Max X-Series Launched, Priced From RM118,000

After issuing snippets of their latest D-Max through social media the past few weeks, Isuzu Malaysia has unveiled the new Isuzu D-Max X-series here at the Carlist.my DRIVE Auto Fair 2018 in Setia Alam.  

Highlighting the Isuzu D-Max X-series up front is the sporty new look, consisting of a high contrast bumper spoiler, a grey coloured grille with red Isuzu logo and bonnet decals. The sporty stripe decal also extends to the tail gate of the new D-Max X-series.

18-inch wheels in grey colour tone blend with the new front grille, while the new cargo deck spoiler and absence of the roof rails complement the sportiness of the side profile.

A new LED welcome light is also fitted under the side step of the D-Max X-series.

Moving inside, the seats feature a new X-series leather upholstery that features a honeycomb pattern and is finished in black and red. A new steering wheel with red stitching and red Isuzu emblem is paired to the new upholstery.

Further adding to the sporty theme are dashboard and door trim finishers in carbon fibre pattern together with red LED illumination on the door scuff plates and footwell.

The new Isuzu D-Max X-Series also offers extended standard accessories including a 360-degree Around View Monitor (AVM) system and in-car electronic payment card reader that is compatible with Touch N Go cards.

The new Isuzu D-Max X-line is available in two engine choices. The 2.5-litre engine develops 136 PS and 320 Nm while the 3.0-litre engine with a longer cylinder stroke develops 177 PS and 380 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission and drive either the rear or all-wheels through the Terrain Command dial (2H, 4H and 4L settings).        

At the launch, Isuzu Malaysia COO for Light Commercial Vehicle, Masayuki Suzuki said that he is pleased to introduce the signature X-Series marque into the Malaysian market at such an opportune time. 

“Since the tax holiday with zero-rated GST started, demand for Isuzu D-Max especially has increased tremendously due to the fact that the pick-up is priced 6% lower, a significant reduction. The consumers should take advantage of the situation to book one today, seeing the X-Series is only produced in a limited number,” he added.

Available in two colours- Silky Pearl White and Stallion Black Metallic, the limited edition Isuzu D-Max X-Series is priced from RM 118,000 for 2.5L engine and RM 124,000 for 3.0L variant without insurance (Peninsular Malaysia). Every purchase of the D-Max X-Series comes with an X-series premium gift set, consisting of an exclusive sling bag, tumbler, key chain and Touch N Go card.
