SPYSHOTS: All-New 2016 Toyota Fortuner Spotted At Fuel Station In ThailandAuto News
This time, new spyshots which shows a white-coloured Fortuner stopped at a fuel station in Thailand have found their way onto a social media page. As we’ve already known what the new Hilux-based SUV looks like – slimmer headlamps, new front fascia, additional chrome bits, what’s more interesting are new interior images.
Starting from the driver’s position, the instrument cluster now follows that of newer Toyota models while the steering wheel has on-wheel controls and paddle shifters as well, interestingly enough.
Moving on, the air-conditioning vents occupy the top part of the dashboard, with the infotainment unit resting below it. The unit appears to be of a touchscreen interface with various inputs for different media. As for the automatic climate control unit, it appears to be a single-zone system with buttons and dials to adjust settings. We can also roughly make out a button for switch the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system off, which is something not found on the current Fortuner sold locally here in Malaysia.
On the centre console, you’ll see two cupholders and the gear selector for the automatic transmission. Behind that are two buttons for “Eco Mode” and “Power Mode”. We also see generous amounts of leather upholstery with visible stitching as well.
However, what is seen here is not reflective of what consumers in Malaysia will obtain because the Thailand-spec model might have features not made available here.
The all-new 2016 Toyota Fortuner is expected to make its global debut real soon (17 July) in Thailand where we all will be finally revealed of the SUV.
