Takata Airbag Recall: MAA Issues Consolidated List For 6 Brands – Mazda, Nissan, Honda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Toyota

The Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) has reiterated the call for consumers of affected vehicles to replace their defective Takata airbag inflators without delay.

The association, an industry body representing the manufacturers and distributors of new vehicles in Malaysia has released a consolidated list of affected vehicles from six of its member brands. The relevant toll free numbers and URLs for consumers to obtain more information directly from the respective manufacturers are also provided.

Vehicle distributors have undertaken additional efforts to reach out to vehicles that are involved as the safety of the car owners are highly important. The faulty airbag inflators are high potential safety threats as they can cause injury to users and in worst case, death,” said Datuk Aishah Ahmad, President of MAA.
