Takata Recall: 80 Percent Of Honda Vehicles In Malaysia Completed

As of 29th June 2017, Honda Malaysia have completed 80.2 percent of their replacement activities for vehicles affected by the Takata front driver airbag inflator recall. The completion rate of the Takata passenger front airbag inflators is currently at 55.9 percent, while Honda Malaysia’s stock availability remains at 100 percent for both inflator systems.  

Honda Malaysia will continue with the ongoing replacement activities at Shopping Mall hubs across Malaysia, with more venues being added periodically. The replacement activities at selected Petronas stations will continue operating as usual.

Shopping Mall hubs will provide further convenience to affected customers as it will be ongoing on every weekend in the month of July, beginning 8 July 2017.

Honda Malaysia stresses that replacement activities at selected Shopping Mall Hubs and Petronas stations do not require an advanced appointment, except for the (FD2R) Honda Civic Type R model. Alternatively, customers may make an appointment at any authorised Honda Service Centre to avoid delays or setbacks.

Honda owners may visit the following locations for their Takata airbag inflator replacements.

Customers are encouraged to bring their vehicles only to authorized Honda service centres, selected Shopping Mall Hubs and Petronas stations for the replacement of affected Takata front airbag inflators.
