With the all-new Subaru Forester on its way, TC Subaru will be taking advanced bookings starting from the end of May, 2019. To sweeten the deal, the first 50 customers in Malaysia to book the Forester will be given an all-expense paid trip to Bangkok in December to take a tour of the plant where the Forester is built. The plant in question is fairly advanced and up to date, with stringent quality control procedures and even an in-house test track.
What this means is that the all-new Forester will also be a CBU (fully imported) model from Thailand. Since the model's introduction in Thailand at the end of 2018, it has seen a record number of bookings in its local market. It also happened to be the first model to be assembled at that particular Subaru plant - one that happens to be owned by Tan Chong itself.
