The Honda BR-V Facelift Is Open For Booking

When Honda Malaysia first introduced the Honda BR-V, it was a little strange considering the brand had never ventured into the compact 7-seater segment – but as there was demand for the model in other parts of the region, it no doubt made sense to offer it to Malaysians as well. This quarter will see a new BR-V facelift being launched after a solid three year run since its local launch in 2017.

Over these three years, the BR-V has become a segment leader with a 45% market share and 36,000 units finding homes. This facelift brings a refreshed look with a new front bumper design, alongside a new front grille, bumper garnish, shark fin antenna, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Keyless Entry and Push Start are also included as standard features across the range of variants.

Major details are the same as before – a 120 PS, 145 Nm 1.5-litre SOHC i-VTEC engine powers this compact people mover, and allows it to remain the most powerful in its segment. Third row seats are still adjustable with a 50:50 tilt and tumble split to maximize boot space, in true Honda packaging wizardry fashion.

“To continue offering high-quality products and meeting customer expectation, Honda Malaysia conducted market study and collected customer feedback that can help us understand our customers better. Armed with significant insight of the market, the New BR-V received exciting enhancements that are able to further captivate the hearts of Malaysians,” said Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director and CEO, Mr Toichi Ishiyama.

The new facelifted BR-V is now open for booking at all 100 Honda dealerships nationwide.
