Unveiling Of The New Mercedes-Benz G-Class – 15th January 2018

Mercedes-Benz have just announced the official launch date of 15^th January 2018 for their new G-Class with a new video underlining on the strength of the model.

The new G-Class will take centre-stage at the Mercedes-Benz booth during the two weeks of North American International Auto Show 2018, or commonly known as Detroit 2018.

The G-Class is an off-road legend and the ultimate benchmark for so many fans of cross-country driving. Since its introduction in spring 1979, over 300,000 units have been sold. Currently, modern-day explorer Mike Horn is using his G-Glass to complete his epic two-year drive tour, from the South to the North Pole.  

Images of the interior, which now have two Exclusive lines and an AMG Line, delivers what new Mercedes of this decade is recognized for, beautifully crafted cabin space. While the dashboard architecture and shape remain similar to the outgoing model, the fitment of many high quality switches and features from the new E-Class and S-Class can be seen in the new G-Class.

Features such as Widescreen Cockpit, Touch Control steering wheel and Burmester speaker grilles uplift the interior to a more premium, updated feel while retaining the authentic chrome-highlighted differential lock switches.  

Mercedes-Benz also shared that the new G-Class will be more comfortable for all occupants, with significant increment of shoulder room, elbow room and leg room.

We can expect to see many of the distinctive exterior elements such as fender signal lights, circular headlamps and protective strip to be masterfully retained on the new G-Class.
