Sixth Generation Ford Mustang 

The sixth generation Ford Mustang was launched in Malaysia in 2016 in two variants - 2.3L EcoBoost and Mustang GT. The Malaysia-version Mustangs are equipped with ZF-based 6R80 six-speed automatic transmission complete with paddle shifters. Ford Malaysia has decidedly not bring in the six-speed manual and convertible variant. Below is the Ford Mustang specification for each variant.

The Ford Mustang exterior comes with the HID headlamps with signature lighting, LED tail lights, rear diffuser, rain-sensing wipers and auto headlamps. The wheels use 19-inch Ebony Black alloy wheels. The Ford Mustang interior sports a ebony leather interior trim, aluminium dash panelling and illuminated scuff plates. The Mustang also comes with cruise control, electri power-assisted steering in three modes (Standard, Sport and Comfort) and keyless entry/push-start ignition. The Mustang also offers four drive modes (Normal, Sport+, Track and Snow/Wet) which can be selected from a four-gang toggle-switch mounted on the centre console. The front seats have a six-way power adjustability and the interior is fitted with dual-zone climate control air-conditioning. The sixth generation Mustang is equipped with an 8-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity available and nine speakers fitted around the interior. 

The sixth generation Ford Mustang was available in five colours - Race Red, Oxford White, Shadow Black, Deep Impact Blue and Magnetic. The Mustang GT has an additional option of Triple Yellow Tri-Coat colour. 

The Ford Mustang facelift was first previewed in Malaysia in 2018 and went on sale in 2019 offering the same two variants as before. The Mustang facelift exterior has been upgraded with a restyled front grille, bumper, bonnet and fenders. The front lightings have all been upgraded to all LED including a three-bar daytime running light array, turn signal lamps and fog lamps. The Mustang facelift interior has also been upgraded to a more premium look and feel with the addition of a hand-stitched wrap with contrast stitching at the centre console and aluminium finishing of the door handles, rings and bezels.
