The fifth generation Toyota RAV4 was introduced in 2018 and was launched in Malaysia in 2020. The Toyota RAV4 exterior features 18-inch five-spoke wheels, LED headlights, daytime running lights and tail lights and powered rear tailgate. The Toyota RAV4 interior features smart entry and push start, a 7-inch digital Optitron meter, dual-zone climate control, rear vents, leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, 8-way powered driver’s seat, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen and wireless charging.

The Toyota RAV4 GR Sport PHEV was launched in 2023 but was never officially launched in Malaysia. The Toyota RAV4 hybrid takes 2.5 hours to fully charge with a 6.6 kW AC charger and is capable of an electric-only range of up to 75km. The Toyota RAV4 features a GR emblem on the front grille, dual exhaust tips, gloss black 19-inch aluminium wheels, black roof, GR leather seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.3-inch infotainment system.

The Toyota RAV4 Prime is a variant of the model which was introduced in 2019. The Toyota RAV4 Prime is capable of an electric-only range of up to 60km. The Toyota RAV4 Prime features chrome front spoiler and piano black body mouldings.
