The Renault Captur is a very popular car in other parts of the world. As one of the best selling crossovers in Europe, it is certainly a car to look forward to driving and owning. Or is it? The Captur looks absolutely different from the usual japanese that Malaysians love, it is rather special with it's French flaire of looks. However, don't let looks deceive you as the car is not really as reliable as you would think, hence why Malaysians stay away from the brand. The build quality is not up to par even as the car rattles and vibrates alot even for a car that is only 6months old. The interior of the car is also different, featuring designs that is rather simple and easy to use. With auto-headlights and auto rain-sensing wipers, it is a nice car for new drivers on the road. However for a car company that claims to be modern and futuristic, the car lacks AEB and LED headlights, it doesn't have controllable traction control and ABS. The car has a rather tall ground clearance for anyone crazy enough to take the car off-road. But the high centre of gravity means the car is not stable at high speeds and at turns, but nothing a safety/stable bar cannot fix. The infotainment screen is a measly 6inch unit without Apple Carplay or Android Auto, only a bluetooth connection is available and you cannot modify anything in the system so no favourite apps for you, the worst thing is it crashes at times so not really dependable. All in all for a car with a price tag of RM117,000, a lot of stuff is missing from the car and the build quality could have been so much better. To give it a rating it'll be a sad 5/10. Less

Renault has truly done an amazing job with the Captur, not to mention excellent fuel saving due to the small but efficient 1.2 turbo enjine featured to power up the remarkable vehicle. Less

Own almost 3 years car runs perfectly, A once driver side power windows malfunction, call 4s centre immediately they order a new replace without ask to send to inspection. Will defitely consider this car in future if new model Captur is release in MY. Less
